Thank you seems like such an insignificant thing to say for all you’ve done to help me. I really appreciate your dedication and support since September. When I had my first session with you, I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical. I had a 9 month old baby, my second child. I’d gained only 24 lbs. with my pregnancy, yet still had the last 10 lbs. that refused to budge. You promised 10 lbs. off “no problem” and if I “was committed and stuck to our plan, 20 lbs. by Thanksgiving”.
I remember thinking – “this guy must be nuts – I’m an RNC and a certified aerobics instructor, with 14 years’ experience. If I couldn’t lose the weight on my own with my background – how was he going to be successful!?!” I bit my tongue and signed up anyway. At this point, I was willing to try anything. Deep down inside I expected failure, but I was certainly hoping for success!
The week before Thanksgiving I decided to go off the diet, but continue with our workout routine. I had lost 16 lbs. I watched what I ate thru the holidays and continued our workout of twice a week. My New Year’s resolution was to try and lose a little more weight – since it was so effortless to lose the weight with your program. I got some more sessions and we were off. Here we are the end of May and I have lost a total of 25 lbs. and maintained my weight at 130 – 135 lbs. I’ve gone down 2 full sizes in my clothes and have needed to get a new wardrobe. My energy level is up and I feel awesome.
It was nice when my family noticed. It was thrilling when my friends noticed. I was excited when my co-workers noticed…but now I get feedback from gym members who have noticed the weight loss.

When I first began to train with Chris Adair shortly after my 50th birthday, extremely overweight and out of shape, I had all but given up on finding a program of diet and exercise that I could successfully follow. I was a “graduate” of Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Fit America, and Trim Club, not to mention some far less conventional programs. Without sincere hope, I decided to make one last try at good health.
Over the last five months, Chris has helped me make major improvements in both my fitness and general health. At the outset, Chris’ compassionate manner and sincere concern about my progress impressed me. His belief in and commitment to my success has never wavered. When I became discouraged, he bolstered my belief in myself. He is a most dedicated “partner” in my program, always willing to go above and beyond that which anyone could reasonably expect of a trainer. His positive, encouraging attitude, humor and “sunny personality” transform an otherwise overwhelming challenge into an enjoyable journey.
I have and will continue to recommend Chris Adair to my friends who are interested in improving their fitness and health. In Chris, I have discovered another outlook and now believe that good health and fitness are attainable, even at 50.

For the first time in twenty years I decided to hire a personal trainer. It has been the best experience in the gym that I have ever had. My trainer is Chris Adair. He has not only shown me new ways of training, he has also shown me how to eat properly in order to reach my goals of getting leaner, stronger, and more muscular. I have always worked out pretty well, but Chris has shown me a lot of new things. Chris is very low pressure, but is very motivating. The information that he shares about diet and exercise has really made a difference. I have been a member of this gym for 12 yrs and he is the best fitness director/trainer that I have had the pleasure to talk and work with. You have a very smart leader in fitness and he is a plus to your organization.
Before I met Chris Adair I had one dream – to be in the best shape I could possibly be in. Now that I have been training with Chris since September, I know that my dream will come true.
I did work out on my own before, but I always felt that my workouts became boring, and I would often become frustrated. I could not figure out how to eat “healthy” without starving myself. Who would have thought I could eat six times a day and still lose weight! I look forward to my workouts with Chris because I know he will push me to my highest achievable level. He is always encouraging and supportive. Because of him, everything in my closet is too big. With his help I have lost around 20 pounds. I am becoming the strong, lean person I have always wanted to be.

I had a great time in Las Vegas. I wanted to share this picture with you. I compared it to the picture taken last year in Las Vegas and I have made quite a transition…thanks to you. My entire family was really impressed. I worked out every day with weights, running, etc. while there and even weighed in at 132 the first day, everyone noticed an incredible difference. “I was a 50 year old family law attorney. My career was divorce, court battles and stress, and it took its toll on my physical and mental health. I was 250 pounds and miserable. My blood work was a mess too, with hypertension, high cholesterol and triglycerides and was also pre-diabetic. In addition, I had several other lesser known blood work issues. I had been taking Lipitor, at twice the normal dose, for 5 years, with little to no improvement. Lipitor is a horrible, horrible drug, one of the worst. My doctor was getting ready to double the dose again. AfterI spoke with Chris and he explained the program, he said that if I trusted him, followed the exercise and diet prescription, and changed my thought life and the negative words and self talk, that all of my issues would be fixed. Since some recommendations were beyond his scope of practice, he had a doctor associate get involved. The doctor told me to stop the meds and follow the plan. In less than 8 weeks, my blood work came back normal and in range, unmedicated. My personal doctor told me that I would be on the drug forever and that my issues were hereditary. Dear Get Fit Palm Beach:
I participated in the 6 week “Get Fit Challenge” with my school, Cardinal Newman High School. During the time in which I took part in the exercise program, I learned how to eat healthy, and avoid all the fast food and cookies. I also learned how to work out. My team’s weight training during the challenge seemed to help me with my figure skating. I feel healthier and stronger than I have ever felt before. During the 6 week challenge I lost 14 pounds of body fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle, a total of 9% body fat. I look better and my clothes fit better. Thank you Get Fit, you have truly shown me that with the proper training and eating habits, my goals to improve my overall skating can really happen.
Tell John I would come in and kick his ass. but I cannot move, he kicked mine first. Feelin’ kinda gumby today. You remember the commercial where the old lady is on the floor screaming “help me I’ve fallen and I can’t get up’? I didn’t fall… I just can’t get up once I’m down!!! But I feel good, like the old James Brown tune.
I can’t tell you enough how much this means to me; your time, your staff’s time and your knowledge. It is so powerful. What a difference there is between a “gym” and a fitness studio that gives results; great results that you can see and feel.

Question: About my breakfast. If I have oatmeal, and a protein shake, should I use the skim milk in the shake and the oatmeal and what serving size for the oatmeal. Also, can I put fresh fruit in the oatmeal on the same day I have the shake and leave the fruit out later in the day? Just trying to plan my day tomorrow. I am stoked.

What an awesome experience! I have learned so much from these past six weeks that I am able to walk away with and use the rest of my life. This was a unique opportunity that presented itself at the ideal time for me, right before my last high school tennis season. I have already seen improvements in my ability to play and run down shots that I would never have been able to get before. In six weeks I have begun to transform my body in ways I never thought possible. I lost 8 1/2 percent body fat, 14 ½ pounds of fat, and I also have gained 12 ½ pounds of muscle. Since I have gained almost as many pounds of muscle that I lost in fat I did not see a great change on the scale. However, I can feel the difference in my clothes and even the way I feel. The Get Fit High School Challenge has been one of the best things that has happened to me, and I hope to continue changing my body in a healthy way.
